Old friends become new friends

October 18th, 2006 by bayu

It had been too long for me not seeing my high school friends. In fact I really never thought we will meet each other anymore except with they who go into the same college as me. Yes, I’m that ugly person who forgot my old friends when I met a lot of new friends. Some of them do realize how bad my memory is and not surprised when I forgot their name. But that is not really my intention, I don’t know why it just happen.

Three weeks ago I tried to find my old friend’s blogs, and found 3 of them. I commented in their blog, and then it was the beginning of our reunion!. My friend told me that she just been subscribed to high school class mailing list, and invite me to the group.

When I start subscribing the group, it was only contained 10 members of the class. By browsing the archives I found only 4 being an active member. Hmm.. not useful enough, but at least it’s a start to rebuild the lost tracks between us.

I found that my old friends changed a lot! Both physically and attitude (sure, they all grownups now). One of my friend that I knew shy and didn’t talk much, he actually become the most active member. I was surprised when I saw the other one’s photo uploaded to the group. He was fat, but he is now freakishly skinny! He took a college in Australia and right now he’s working and live in Perth.

Until now, I feel the groups still in weird atmosphere, maybe because we don’t know each other anymore. We practically some individual who just met each other. Everybody changed, maybe including me in the point of view of my old friends.

This is the time when the old friends become new friends.
